A Chill Night

On Wednesday night, my friends and I decided to try out a more unique venue for an outing. Enter: ICEBAR LONDON!

No, that is not what I usually where when I go out, as attractive as it looks. Icebar London is made entirely of ice! The room is kept at 20°F, so you are given a hooded thermal cape and gloves to wear for your 40-minute time slot in the bar. The walls, tables, chairs, bar, even cups are made of ice.

The 40-minute time limit was perfect. It gave us just enough time to dance around in our silly outfits, but my cold toes and fingers were happy to escape the freezing temperature.

Drinking out of ice glasses is actually quite tricky

Once a year the bar is redesigned by ice sculptors to give the bar a new look. Luckily, the floors are not made of ice, so there was no slipping involved.

When we were leaving the bar, one guy tried to take his glass with him. The employees let him know this was not allowed. How'd he expect to get it home anyways??

Overall, a pretty cool (ha) night!
