An Apple (Strudel) a Day...

Where in the world is Jenny? Portobello Market!

Finally feeling a little better, I decided I simply could not stay put in my room any longer. Lindsay's friend Eleanor from Birmingham came to London for the weekend, so this England native decided to show us one of the world's most famous street markets. Situated in the trendy Notting Hill area, Portobello Market stretches for two miles down Portobello Road, and it is mostly known for selling antiques.

Apparently we weren't the only ones who decided to visit the market today. Check out these crowds...

Loving the colorful buildings
We walked from booth to booth, looking at the jewelry, clothing, watches, silverware...

Then suddenly things got a bit sweeter. Enter the food market:

Eleanor and her Nutella crepe...yum!
You have probably already seen, or at least heard of, the movie, Notting Hill, which takes place in this exact London neighborhood. If so, recognize this place?

Tucked away on a side street, I stumbled upon Hugh Grant's travel book store featured in the movie! Sadly, the handsome English actor was nowhere to be seen...

Misty air and a sore throat told me it was time to head back home. However, a fresh tray of warm apple strudel was suddenly placed on the booth in front of me:

How could I resist? After all, an apple strudel a day keeps the doctor away...right?

One happy girl
With a satisfied tummy, it was time to say ta ta to Portobello Road.
